We arrived at around 6:30pm local time in Barbados and were greeted by Sergio who was lovely and got us a rum punch immediately. The room was clean and comfortable but often missing a bath/shower mat. The evening entertainment was, um, mediocre and was the same every night. Michael from the watersports was very friendly explaining what we could do and would always come over and say Hi. The sun loungers were comfortable but some of the cushions were marked with bird poo or berries (thank god for towels). There is no 'beach' but a small but of sand with steps down to the water. We met some lovely people (guests) whilst here and the staff were polite but the service dwindled - when we arrived they were very good and taking plates, filling up water glasses on tables and were friendly but over the days this went downhill and I found myself having to ask for water for the table and one of the ladies on the dinner podium was not overly friendly but others were very pleasant. We found out May is coming out of season for Barbados and the hotel then only had a smattering of guests.
At the start of our 14 night stay we couldn't fault the hotel however it went downhill fairly quickly. He was very informative about the hotel whilst taking us to our room.
